I was lucky enough to be given a beautiful watch by Prue many years ago, but it went wrong sometime in the 80′s and sat in a drawer until last summer, when I sent it off to be cleaned and repaired. The Swiss have returned it in perfect condition (with the name of the person assigned to look after it henceforward). Now all I have to do is remember to wind it….

The only problem is that while it looks like the watch you can buy in the Sears discount section, it’s an Audemars. A company that used to have a reputable status (think Rolex and Brietling) before they started making crap like this.
I honestly have no idea what the company is thinking. It’s like they got into a room and thought of ways they could destroy their brand. Best idea was: Grotesque look, ridiculous price tag, hope idiots with money have no taste.
Audemars is a great brand, but good lord, don’t pay over $80 for watches like this. Save yourself $75,000 and buy something for $50 that looks exactly the same.
…unless you go to the Jersey Shore of course.
