Two years and a few days (a few days after the warranty expired, I later discovered), the turning handle fell off an ESQ watch I purchased while turning it. When I contacted customer service, they implied it was somehow my fault, as opposed to the quality of the watch, and then provided me with a lengthy and condescending description on the rudimentary care of watches. The watch literally just fell apart on its own.

Poor craftsmanship plus poor customer service is a bad combination. I would strongly consider other brands before purchasing this watch.

I’m sorry for your negative experience with your movado watch. Though they produce very fine watches which normally last for many years, it is truly disappointing if one get’s hit by an experience like that you mentioned. I suppose the customer service did not recognize the true value of their brands customers, if it is as you have related in your comment.

Anyway, hope your comment may help other people building their buying decisions…

I had a bad experience with this brand, although not this particular watch. The turning handle fell off after just two years – in other words, the watch literally fell apart on its own. When I contacted the manufacturer, they told me it was somehow my fault, as opposed to the craftsmanship of the watch. I would seriously consider other brands before this company.
