User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Poor quality control
This is the second Invicta watch I purchased that was defective. In this case, the automatic movement began working (after some initial winding) but I was surprised to see that it had stopped in the middle of the day (while wearing it). I cranked it up and again, it stopped after a couple of hours. This pattern continued to repeat before I finally decided to return it for a refund. Yes, its a nice looking watch (if a common and tired design) and is sold for a great price, but I’m now quite skeptical of Invicta’s quality. I had previously purchased the very similar (but smaller) style #8932 from another store and it had the same issues of running for a while, then stopping. Which was even more surprising in that case since it was a battery-powered quartz movement (battery replacement was no help). So I guess if you are one of the lucky ones to get a good unit you have a real bargain – if not, you may be out of luck and late for your appointment!

4 Stars 99.9% Happy with this product
watch looks AWESOME. i really love it. I wore it for the first time to a family function last week and got complimented on it a couple of times. Actually, I sat across the table from someone who had Rolex Submariner and kept looking over at my watch. Finally, he asked me if it was a Rolex. I laughed because I really did not buy this watch for this reason but there I was getting compliments and asked by someone who had a Rolex if it was one. I am in week 3 of wearing this watch and it is still keeping time accurately. I take it off every night. I’ve only gone one full day without wearing it. It was hard to set the second hand since it keeps moving when you set the watch so the timing may have been a little off, but as of this minute, it has the correct time. The ONLY complaint I have is my bezel fell off twice on me! It wasn’t knocked off. It literally fell off while I was clapping my hands! I am calling invicta to see what my options are. I will come back and review the customer service. One last note, for those who are looking for a more Rolex feel, get the coin edged pro driver

2 Stars 6 Weeks Old & Leaking Water
I actually bought the battery powered version but because I had already given it a review, it won’t let me add another review. I have had the watch 6 weeks. It is now leaking. I saw moisture on the inside of the crystal and after closer inspection saw water rolling around inside of the watch. The warranty required me to send $25 shipping and insurance and it cost me another $10 for shipping and insurance to send it to Invicta. I have over $100 into the watch. I checked the pin and it was screwed down tight and I never took the back off as it came with a working battery. It is a great looking watch and the battery powered version I got kept great time. But, leaking water after 6 weeks is unacceptable. You might want to look elsewhere. And, I don’t know if it’s even going to be repaired properly.

4 Stars Mr
Good value for money…However it wood be better if you have to adjust time once a year but not once the week

5 Stars Couldn’t be more pleased
Having read reviews of this watch over several months I decided to give the 8926 a try. It didn’t hurt that Amazon had temporarily lowered the price to $79 either. Frankly, I didn’t know what to expect when it was delivered.

Some Background

Over the past 30 something years I’ve purchased several fine watches including a Rolex Submariner and an Omega Speedmaster. The Rolex now resides at the bottom of the ocean off of Block Island while my Omega still sits in my watch case and occasionally on my wrist. Understand that both of these watches were purchased back when these companies were just known for manufacturing fine watches. This was back in the pre-bling days so I paid nowhere near the ridiculous prices being asked these days.

Over the years I owned my Submariner I’d guess I spent somewhwere in the neighborhood of $700 having it serviced and maintained. That still didn’t prevent the bracelet or clasp from failing resulting in its current place of residence.

Invicta Pro-Diver 8926

When my yellow Invicta Box arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the Pro-Diver. If you’ve owned a Submariner, you won’t be disappointed by the appearance of this watch. You’ll find the weight, fit and finish to be quite similar. While I chose the Omega-style bezel, this watch is also available in the original coin-edge style of the Submariner.

But more important than the appearance of the watch has been its performance. After wearing it daily for several months it has performed flawlessly. Its accuracy has settled to within 2 minutes a month. The bezel which was stiff at first is now easily adjusted. While the 316L Stainless Steel will pick up fine scratches I find that it adds to the look of the watch. I mean, I don’t want the watch to look like I just took it out of the box forever. The mineral crystal is sufficiently scratch resistant that after several months of daily wear it is still unmarked.

Look, I could go on for another few hundred words, but the bottom line is this. At under a hundred bucks the purchase of this watch is a no-brainer. If your need is for a rugged, attractive, well constructed, accurate automatic watch rather than a famous logo, this is the watch to buy.
